Our City Beat reporter asks, “Could Payne Park
become Sarasota’s Central Park?” When I pulled up to the Payne Park auditorium to attend the inaugural community meeting of the Sarasota Parks Foundation, I expected to see a few dozen well-intentioned park lovers.
